History Paper 2 is Coming – Get Ready!
After half term, we’ll be diving straight into Paper 2 of your History GCSE exams. This means it’s time to revise the following two key topics:
1. Anglo-Saxon and Norman England (c.1060–88)
- Power struggles before the Battle of Hastings
- The Norman conquest and control
- Changes to land, the church, and everyday life
- Revolts and resistance
- Castles, feudalism, and the Domesday Book
2. Superpower Relations and the Cold War (1941–91)
- Origins of the Cold War
- The Berlin Crisis, Cuban Missile Crisis and the Arms Race
- Key leaders and their relationships
- The Cold War in Eastern Europe
- The end of the Cold War

Make flashcards or mind maps – test yourself regularly.
Set aside 15–30 minutes a day for focused revision. It really does make a difference.
We’ll be doing revision mastery prior, but preparation starts now. The more confident you are with your knowledge, the easier the exam will feel.
