Inclusion

The Manor Academy is an inclusive school. We believe that all students are entitled to an outstanding education and try to ensure that all individual needs are met and all barriers to learning are removed. We use a Pupil Passport system to support teachers with Quality First Teaching and to help them meet the needs of individuals in their class. Further to this we operate a mentoring system and provide extra intervention where necessary.

Equity versus Equality

All students have different strengths and needs. At the Manor Academy, we ensure that support is tailored so that everyone can succeed. We recognise that people, situations and circumstances often need to be treated individually ensuring that all students are ready to learn, can access the curriculum and can make outstanding progress.
