Manor College, part of The Two Counties Trust, is marking A Level results day with real pride after 85% of students achieved grades A* to C across all their subjects. Students and families gathered at the college this morning to share in the celebrations, with staff describing it as one of the strongest results days in recent memory. 

A few standout individual achievements include: 

  • Sanjeef U achieved an A* in mathematics, an A in physics and a B in business studies. Sanjeef is going on to study Further Mathematics as part of a Gap Year next year. 
  • Leah B three As in history, mathematics and physics. Leah is going on to study Accounting and Finance at University of Leeds. 
  • Ella B achieved three Bs in biology, chemistry and psychology. Ella is going on to the University of Leicester to study Medicine.  
  • Zach F achieved an A in mathematics and grade Bs in physics and business studies. Zach is progressing onto a Degree Level Apprenticeship.

“It’s a day of celebration at The Manor Academy. We are rightly proud of an excellent set of post-16 results that will ensure that our students can make confident life choices as they take their next steps in the wider world.  

“I would personally like to take this opportunity to reflect on the commitment, dedication and teamwork our students and teaching staff have shown over the two years, for this underpins every student achievement. I wish every one of our students the best of success in their future careers.”   

Lauren Orr, Deputy Headteacher at Manor Academy, said:  

“It is an exciting time to be part of our growing Manor College community. In the new academic year we welcome the opening of our brand new sixth form building which highlights the investment we are making in for the community to provide a fantastic post-16 experience with a wide range of academic and vocational qualifications on offer.”
