On Thursday 19th October, we are holding a Year 7 Settling in Evening for Year 7 students and their families. Appointments will be available from 3.00pm until 6.00pm and they will take place in the Quad Café.
Families will be able to make appointments with their child’s tutor and give tutors the opportunity to discuss your child’s attitude to learning, attendance and answer any other questions you may have about your child’s year at the Manor Academy so far.
In addition to the tutor appointment there will be an opportunity to attend a 15-minute presentation by our Deputy Headteacher Mr Gladwin in The Manor Hall. The first presentation will start at 3.30pm and will be repeated at 4.15pm and 5.00pm. This will give families more in-depth information and a greater understanding about our students’ learning journey and we will share with you our new Year 7 Curriculum Fact Sheet. The factsheet aims to give you a brief, but informative overview of the topics covered by your child in every subject this year and how they link to their studies in Year 8.
