Revision at Manor
Revision plays an integral part in giving our students the confidence to achieve their potential, whether this be for low-stakes quizzes in class or for more extensive end-of-term or end-of-year assessments, including GCSE, BTEC and A level exams. We support our students by teaching them how to revise using a range of techniques and most recently we have been coaching our students with a ‘Diagnose, Therapy, Test’ approach to revision, using their Learning Booklets and Master of Recall sheets containing the powerful knowledge. This testing technique enables students to be much more independent and proactive in their learning because they are taught how to self-check their understanding and how to fill the gaps in their knowledge. This is a technique we will be sharing with all year groups as they receive their learning booklets and Master of Recall sheets as they move forward.
