The Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance programme (CEIAG) throughout all year groups at the Manor adheres to the principle of independent advice and guidance given to students in accordance with the statutory responsibility placed on schools. The Academy adopts a student-centered approach to careers interviewing in order to provide non directive one to one advice and guidance for students to complement the careers enrichment and support provided during the programme.

The Academy uses the Unifrog platform to ensure students, teachers and families can access up to date careers guidance at any time. Students use this platform to log and track employability skills development throughout their time at the Manor.

We measure the impact of the careers programme on our pupils through robust destination tracking at Y11 and Post 16, using the Compass+ tool to measure our Careers Programme against the Gatsby Benchmarks and through regular pupil, parent and employer voice. We also work in partnership with The Careers Hub at East Midlands Combined County Authority to regularly review our careers programme.

A wide range of other careers based activities are incorporated into both our curriculum across the school and our careers curriculum.
